My June Birchbox

This month's Birchbox theme was Face the Day. "Embrace warm weather by stripping layers off your routine so you can face whatever comes your way." I pleasantly received several vegan friendly and cruelty free products this month! Here's what I received:

Oribe Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo (.23 fl oz/8.5 oz $49) & Conditioner (.23 fl oz/6.8 oz $52) | Vasanti® BrightenUp!® New Skin Amplifying Moisturizer (.2 fl oz/ 2.03 oz $34) | Manna Kadar Cosmetics Eye Candy Priming Shadow Stick in Honey (.05 oz/.09 oz $24) | Kensie Eau de Parfum (.06 fl oz/ 3.4 oz $55) | The Beauty Crop Blush Duo in Papaya Don't Preach (0.11 oz $10) | Mellow Cosmetics Liquid Lip Paint in New York (.05oz/full size $14)

"Reawaken your hair to its glossiest, healthiest prime. This rejuvenating cleanser combines centuries-old healing oils and extracts—cypress, argan and maracuja—with our revolutionary bio-restorative complex to balance the scalp and reinforce the inner strength of each strand." I got to wash my hair with gold! Oribe never fails so was happy to have both a shampoo and conditioner sample in my box this month.

Another month, another The Beauty Crop product. I feel like this Blush Duo is not meant for my fair skin. They're gorgeous, summer colors but perhaps on a darker skintone.

"A rebellious and unexpected composition; confident and sexy, she makes her entrance with juicy peach and mandarin, their bright and inviting notes are draped effortlessly across a floral bed of rose, jasmine and violet. As it dries, kensie reveals a cedar and musk accord that keeps it both addictive and modern." I love the packaging - sucker for black and white. The notes are definitely unisex. I'm enjoying mixing it with a more fruity perfume.

"This refreshing daily moisturizer works in synergy with our top selling Brighten Up! Exfoliator.  It's formulated to amplify the benefits you get from exfoliation by nourishing your new skin with super-targeted actives and anti-oxidants that work to give you a smoother, brighter and younger looking face." It says it is a step after the exfoliator so not sure how much results I'll get using alone. It was decent moisturizer but I didn't see any "brightening." It is also vegan friendly.

"This ultra smooth liquid lip paint will give your lips a velvet matte and high pigmented finish. The long wearing creamy formula and hydrating texture will give you a full coverage and none drying light finish." New York is described as a Burgundy color. A bit darker for the colors I'm wanting to wear right now but will be lit to wear in the Fall. Also love that it is 100% vegan.

"This unique collection features an eyeshadow and primer all-in-one. Can easily transform your makeup look from day to night in minutes. Eye Candy's retractable wand makes for easy application and no sharpener." Honey is a rose shimmer. So gorgeous! This color is flattering on my fair skin but I think it would work across all skintones. New favorite!
