Review: Rimmel Magnif'Eyes Eyeshadow Palette & The Only 1 Matte Lipstick

New Drugstore Beauty Reviews: Rimmel London
Rimmel had some new launches in January included three eyeshadow Magnif'Eyes palettes. I picked one up in my local drugstore! There are grunge glamour, nude, and golden glow. Each one features 12 shades for $7.99. "The line-up is a mix of twelve high-shimmer and matte shadows, which offers the perfect complementary colour range for infinite creations. Sculpt, shade and define your eyes to create day to night, and nude to daring looks. The beautifully blendable, ultra-smooth powder can be used on the lid, in the crease of the eye and as a liner to enhance and magnif’eye your eye color and shape. The non-crease, non-fade formula has serious staying power for eyes with lasting impact."

I picked up 02 London Nudes Calling as it had the most neutral shades of all three that would be more for my every day look. "London Nudes Calling spans an array of warm blush tones from beige through tawny to taupe to rust and plum. It’s easy to create a multitude of wear-anywhere nude eye-looks that look natural or intense." I was generally impressed with the quality of this palette. The powders are really soft and blended nicely together. Unfortunately they don't have shade names but I've been using that 3rd color in from the Left as an everyday color.

They also launched the matte version of their The Only 1 lipsticks in 10 vibrant shades for $7.99 each. Rimmel is powering the matte revolution with a new volatile hybrid formula that’s been specially developed to meet your every lipstick need. A light emollient oil is combined with a liquid polymer to provide the comfortable, moisturising feel throughout wear. The oil is absorbed on application, creating a thin film between the skin and the pigment and banishing that irritating dry sensation often felt with matte lipsticks. The formula features volatile silicon to give a smooth and even colour release, which helps to set the lipstick for superior colour wear."

The colors looked gorgeous on Rimmel's Instagram so wanted to try a few shades. Glad I got the three that I did because they all work beautifully and are such a range. I've been wearing the 200 Salute most frequent as it's on trend with the nude/mauve look. They are not drying like some matte lipsticks can be. Overall I was really impressed with both new launches!
