This month was full of changes not only personally but for my skin. I took a trip upstate for a few days and when I returned I had a bad breakout. Then going from a blizzard to 70 degree days, the changing weather pattern finally caught up to me and I was sick for the last week of the month so my beauty routine was all about keeping hydrated while letting my skin breathe. Needed a lot of rescuing! Here are the products that I loved this month:
Balance Me Congested Skin Serum $30 - I got this in my Birchbox this month and it came at the right time with my breakout. It definitely helped calm my skin and not clog my pores.
Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick $7.99 - Shared my review of these earlier this month. A great matte lipstick option in the drugstore. Been wearing all month!
Fresh Rose Face Mask $62 - "Rose Face Mask hydrates and tones the complexion to restore radiance and suppleness to all skin types. The unique, cooling gel formula is infused with real rose petals that literally melt into the skin." I savored my sample as it really helps tone your skin rather than just wash it.
Tarte Cosmetics Quench Lip Rescue in Nude $19 - Finished up this month. Loved the natural tint it gave my lips and super hydrating.
e.l.f. Prep & Hydrate Balm $8 - Got this in my mini e.l.f. haul earlier this month. I've been trying to make it work but no success. Doesn't hydrate. Doesn't make my makeup last longer.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover $8.99 - I was on a micellar water kick and was enjoying most of them. However, I hadn't tried Garnier's drugstore version so when I finally needed a makeup remover I picked it up. I picked up the blue one in hopes it would help remover waterproof mascara as it claims. It does not. The original Bioderma one does and does so wonderfully. I guess I shouldn't have high hopes for a drugstore version. It does get most makeup off and can use for cleaning brushes but won't repurchase once I finish this bottle.
