This month's Julep Maven box was all about brights. "Sun’s coming, Mavens. Even here in rainy Seattle we’re already in serious sunshine mode. We’ve sprung forward our mani-pedi palette in a major way and we’re really, really (really!) excited for you to see our newest BRIGHTS. Plus, we’ve got some fresh new ways for you to get the perfect glowing complexion that’s so on point right now." I wasn't into Vivid Sheers since it requires you to layer it over white polish - don't make me do the work Julep. I chose the Modern Beauty box. Here's what I received:
This was Julep's new beauty launch this month. "A blend of natural oils and fruit enzymes that remove dirt, oil, and impurities while gently exfoliating for a deep-down clean." Never thought to create an exfoliator for your face as a stick... but ok Julep. Not sure if this was right but I used it with the Kaolin Clay Konjac sponge, which Julep says is a "a gentle exfoliator made from the fibrous root of the Konjac plant and enriched with detoxifying kaolin clay that draws impurities from deep within skin." I liked the combo of the two together. Not too rough and left my skin very soft and refreshed.
I didn't get a chance to try this one yet but I'm bringing it on my trip so I'll report back on Snapchat! Julep says "a gentle exfoliator made from the fibrous root of the Konjac plant and infused with green tea powder to balance the skin." Update: Used this sponge on my trip and really enjoyed it! Used it in the morning to freshen my skin.
I didn't like the sheers from this month so I picked up some other brights in my add-ons. Denise is described as a "purple crocus crème." It's not quite the right shade of purple for me. I might keep it to use for nail art.
Isabela is described as an "amparo blue crème." I really liked this color and rocked it for a few days.
