My April Birchbox

This month's Birchbox theme was Make it Bloom. "The trees are blooming and our winter coats are tucked back in our closets. Spring is here, and we're celebrating the season with special Birchbox, featuring a stunning Rifle Paper Co. design." Always love when they partner with Rifle Paper Co. as they create beautiful boxes. Here's what I received:

Beaver Repair Rescue Shampoo (2 fl oz/8.7 fl oz $15.90) & Conditioner (1.35 fl oz/7 fl oz $16.90) | IPKN Moist & Firm BB SPF 45 (.24 fl oz/1.3 oz $35) | The Beauty Crop PBJ Smoothie Stick Creamy Lip Crayon in Guava Nice Day $14.95 | rms beauty™ the ultimate makeup remover wipes (2 wipes, 1 pack $1)

So Birchbox likes Beaver in April since I got this in my April box last year. "Collagen proteins strengthen and prevent breakage while ceramide locks in moisture to leave hair soft and manageable." "The rich, creamy formula is packed with good-for-you ingredients including collagen proteins to strengthen and prevent breakage, plus ceramide, which locks in moisture for hair that’s smooth and sleek." Unfortunately the conditioner didn't rinse out well enough so my hair was weighed down in the morning. I air dry my hair and it somehow came out a little wavy in the morning.

"The PBJ Smoothie Stick is a creamy and hydrating lip treatment which delivers moisturizing, rich color. Our nourishing lip crayon contains Almond Butter & Goji Berry which are rich in Vitamin E, antioxidants and beta-carotene to moisturize and protect the lips while providing a smooth, even application." The color is a dark berry color (not listed on the site). PBJ smoothie stick is an interesting name... thought maybe it would smell like jelly but no. You can layer on this lippie to make the shade darker. I really liked it! Just wished it was a little nourishing since I had to add on another lip balm over it.

Wearing the PBJ lippie & hair washed with Beaver products

Not a fan of brands that I can't find a website for. Both the Beaver hair products and this IPKN BB Cream didn't have official brand pages. According to Birchbox, "this multi-tasking BB cream is a total powerhouse. In addition to offering SPF 45 protection and flawless coverage, the gel formula is packed with nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and collagen—resulting in a more hydrated and brightened complexion." I received Light-Medium, which was definitely too dark for me so I mixed it with The Body Shop's Lightening drops. I liked the lightweight feel of it and it didn't feel drying on my skin.

rms makeup remover wipes were what I added on. "These pure and simple make-up remover and cleansing wipes are your new everyday essential. Infused with the same radiance boosting properties as our RMS Raw Coconut Cream, these use-anywhere wipes melt away makeup, cleanse, soften and moisturize skin, all in one making them perfect for even lazy face washers." I wasn't a big fan of the formula. I felt like the wipe was a little rough feeling on my skin. There was a lot of product so it was slippery in my hands. It did do a good job getting makeup off including mascara. But not a favorite.

We also received 20% off our next Rifle Paper Co. order.

What did you receive in your Birchbox this month?
