My March Birchbox

This month's Birchbox was in celebration of Women’s History Month. "Celebrate with products that amplify your unique features (and help you take on the world)." Or perhaps feature products created by women? Just a though Birchbox. Here's what I received:

PARLOR® by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner (2 fl oz/8 fl oz $22) | NER:D Skincare Miraculous Brightening Clarifying Face Cleanser (.51 oz/3.38 oz $20) | Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm (.1 fl oz/.5 fl oz $16.50) | PINROSE perfume towelettes (2) | CARGO Land Down Under Eye Shadow Duo in Beach & Bridge $7.99

I've tried Pinrose fragrances before in my Popbasic box. Glad to see them growing and expanding. I got two towelettes. "Midnight Gypsy" has a notes of cardamom and orange blossom. I used "Pillowtalk Poet" and it was a nice, fresh fragrance that reminds me of laundry. These are great for traveling or to toss in your purse.

I got a tin of 2 shadows from Cargo. Unfortunately both are a little too dark for me so I'll either have to wear it with a dark smoky eye (which I RARELY do) or pass it on.

Practically took squeezing the whole bottle to get that little bit out

This balm is a multi-purpose balm that is supposedly a cult favorite. It's heavy so it will get your lips through the winter. It is unfortunately a small sample so I only got a few uses out of it which is is not typical for a lip product. Kind of a bummer.

I tried a NER:D mask in my September Birchbox and really enjoyed it so was excited to try this cleanser. "This soap-free formula is formulated with yogurt, vitamin E, and fatty acids that balance oil production (instead of stripping your skin)." Another yogurt face product! I really liked this cleanser. It says it's great for acne so I didn't get to fully test the product but as a simple cleanser I loved it.

Day and a half later with no products or styling, aired dry overnight

This shampoo and  conditioner were the samples I selected because I needed some new shampoos to try after last month's fail. I tried the detangling spray in last month's Birchbox, with mild success, so had some hope for these products. "This multitasking sulfate-free shampoo harnesses the power of marshmallow root to boost body and texture in even the finest, most lifeless tresses (all while keeping locks tangle-free). Sweet almond oil protects hair fibers and adds softness, while panthenol increases hair’s resistance to damage and brittleness." I really liked it! It left my hair shiny and soft, which it's been missing. Unfortunately the battery to my camera died just as I was about to snap result photos so this is a day and a half later. I didn't style it and just let it air dry overnight and I still saw some lift in my hair. 2 days later, still going strong. Definitely would repurchase.

What did you receive in your Birchbox this month?
