e.l.f. Cosmetics Beauty Haul Reviews

e.l.f. Haul Reviews
One last haul! e.l.f. was having a deal for free shipping + bonus gift so I decided to take advantage. I haven't shopped at e.l.f. in a hot minute because for $1 products it's hard to justify $7 in shipping but I needed a few items so I opened my wallet. It's hard to feel too guilty when products are under $10 but that means there can be some misses. Here are the reviews of the products that I had never tried before:

Moisturizing Lipstick in Wink Pink $3 - This was part of the bonus gift. "The velvety, satin texture glides on lips with vibrant color and luminous shine. Enriched with Shea and Vitamins A, C, & E to nourish and hydrate the lips. The rich, creamy formula seals in moisture for long-lasting wear and comfort." I have one other e.l.f. lipstick that I really enjoy but I didn't like this formula. I found it very drying (ironic, no?). The color is actually similar to a color I use for my every day lip color since my natural lip shade is on the rosy side. This was a pass for me. I won't repurchase.

I woke up like this...

Eye Refresh $3 - Ever since I ran out of my Simple eye roll-on, I've been debating repurchasing since I liked the refreshing feeling in the morning. But I thought I'd try e.l.f.'s version first. "Infused with key ingredients Pomegranate, Rosemary, Green Tea, Cucumber and Grape to hydrate and nourish the delicate skin around your eyes." So far I'm liking it and find it refreshing. Not sure it does too much in eliminating dark circles but I just like to think it does lol.

Full makeup look

HD Mattifying Cream Foundation in Porcelain $6 - Despite selecting the fairest shade, I still found this color a little too dark for me. Perhaps in the summer when I'm faking a tan. I liked the formula and could use it to touch-up. But I didn't find it lasted. I tried with the makeup setting spray as well as other HD powders but no luck.

Makeup Mist & Set $3 - As you may have noticed, I've been on a bit of a makeup setting spray kick lately. Mostly because I was finally exposed to their powers and I've been at the office until 8 or 9 so need my makeup last. Although I love my Urban Decay spray, I've been trying some other brands and for $3 I wanted to see how well it lasted. I was pretty impressed. Two downsides for me were 1) the smell. Does it smell like a weird peanut butter to anyone else? lol I don't know to explain it but it was like a fake food smell to me. 2) It sprays a lot in a forceful way (I was trying to find a non-gross way to explain that lol). I don't particularly like the way it sprays. Despite keeping it arms length from my face, it still would be so much that it would drip off.... just me?

Hydrating Under Eye Primer $3 - The theme of the haul was basically under eye. I was curious about this since I hadn't heard of an under eye primer before and I especially need help in keeping my concealer last. "Primes the under eye area to help prevent concealer from setting into fine lines and wearing off. Infused with Vitamins C & E, Shea, Green Tea, Aloe, and Ginko Biloba to nourish and condition the skin. The sheer, silky smooth texture reduces the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and wrinkles." Didn't really notice the reduction of fine lines or wrinkles but I did like the lightweight formula. I tried it without the setting powder but don't think it lasted as well. If I had to repurchase between the two it would be the powder.

High Definition Undereye Setting Powder $3 - Since the regular HD powder was sold out I decided to give this a try. "The silky powder adds a velvety finish ideal for wearing alone or setting in cream concealer. The Vitamin C & K infused formula helps to restore and strengthen skin for a revitalized appearance." Don't really know the difference between this and their regular HD powder but I love it! It comes with a little brush that kind of makes me feel like I'm scooping up cocaine lol but it definitely works. My concealer definitely lasted especially when I paired it with the primer. I also liked that unlike with most HD powders you don't have to brush off excess. It easily blends into skin and leaves a nice finish. Will definitely repurchase!
