My January Julep Maven Box

This month's Julep Maven box theme was Fresh Look for ringing in the new year. "No matter what you resolve to do in the new year, hydration should always be a priority. In our January collection you'll find moisturizing lip crayons in right-now hues, and a luxe hydrating creme that's formulated for anywhere your skin wants it." I selected Modern Beauty since I wasn't a big fan of the polishes. Here's what I received:

- No Limits Luxe Hydrating Crème $24
It's Balm Full-Coverage Lip Crayon in Pink Raspberry $20
- Add-ons: Johnny, Oxygen Nail Treatment & It's Whipped in Ooh La La
- Extras: Janae, Junior Mints

I needed a new black polish so I added Johnny. It's a classic black cream.

Julep released more shades of their It's Balm so I had to add the bright pink one. I'll be wearing it more in the spring but it's a pretty shade.

You may have seen me wearing it yesterday on Snapchat: kimberleevdw

I liked the It's Whipped liquid lipstick last month so much I decided to try another color this month - Ooh La La. I call this my Kylie lip lol I was a little afraid of the taupe lip trend since I steer clear of brown lip shades but I'm feeling this shade.

"A luxurious, long-lasting moisturizer for anywhere that needs intensive hydration." This packaging was such a FAIL. Julep even had to post a video (not a very helpful one) because no one could get the product to come out. However, reading some tips from the comments I was finally able to get it to come out. It was nice. It reminded me of the Night Shift mask. It kept my skin moisturized but I didn't see anything about anti-aging benefits which my skin needs with an overnight moisturizer. I just received a new moisturizer from StriVectin so stay tuned for a review of that!

What did you receive in your Julep Maven box this month?
