My December Beauty Product Favorites (And Not So Favorite)

My skin has been wretched this month. This weather is really making it difficult to lock in a routine and my skin is NOT happy. I used anything I could to quench it's thirst while also preventing it from breaking out. Here's what I loved and not so much this month:

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter in Tropical Orchid $35 - I opted for this when my beloved Clinique Body Butter was SOLD OUT on It got the job done. Much like Clinique's body butter, it takes awhile to absorb into the skin so I put it on at night and wait a few minutes before getting dressed. Then in the morning I opt for Nivea's Extended Moisture lotion since that absorbs much quicker.

Julep's It’s Whipped Matte Lip Mousse in Pucker Up $20 - Received this in my Julep Maven box this month. It was one of only three liquid lipsticks I have tried and I have to say I'm liking it. I wish the staying power of this Julep one was a little longer. I actually ordered another color for my January Julep Maven box.

Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes $6 - You may recall I did NOT like the exfoliating cleansing towelettes very much but I think it's because they were exfoliating. I feel like I'm always hating on Burt's Bees so when I spotted these wipes I decided to give them a try. Much better! I have sensitive skin and this is definitely more gentle than the exfoliating towelettes. The wipe is also much more durable and I can get all of my makeup off with one wipe.

Urban Decay's All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray $30 - I've heard great things about this and was excited to get a sample in a Sephora haul. I love it! It's on my Sephora list when I hopefully get tons of gift cards for Christmas so I can repurchase as I'm almost out already. Definitely helped my makeup last when I went after work and for holiday parties.

DHC's Rich Eye Zone Care Pack $17.50 - I received a press sample of these at a recent event. I've been loving them! They're now available for purchase so I would definitely recommend stocking up. They can also act as a Catwoman costume.

Briogeo Blossom & Bloom Ginseng + Biotin Volumizing Blow Dry Spray $18 - I wanted to wait to give this product a chance under different circumstances before completely ruling it out. I added it to one of my Sephora hauls a few months ago but it never worked out. It kept leaving my hair greasy no matter how much I sprayed or what kind of shampoo/conditioner I used. Womp womp.

Toppik Brow Building Fibers Set $19.95 - I think this would be great if you have thinner eyebrows. If you have overplucked and are trying to fill out your brows. However, I never pluck mine so I didn't see any "fuller" brows than say I would with my typical brow powder.

What were your favorite beauty products this month?
