My November Julep Maven Box

This month's Julep Maven box was about switching up your beauty routine. "We can no longer pretend we’re at the tail end of summer—it’s time our beauty routines lean into cold months. Fall 2015 is crushing it with updated texture (more on that in a minute), and skincare calls for extra love & protection." The polishes were matte metallics which are two words I don't like in my polishes so I opted for the Modern Beauty box. Here's what I received:

- What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk $38
Love Your Bare Face Age-Defying Cleansing Oil $28
- Add-ons: Linnea, Golden Angle Nail Wraps & Night Shift Sleeping Mask $34
- Bonus: Candy Apple lollipop & Oscar (which I already own)

"A lightweight treatment milk infused with five potent oils to hydrate and replenish skin. Just in time for winter's harsh bluster on our sweet faces, this restorative facial milk is a seasonally on-point addition to the daily routine—under moisturizer, before makeup. The robust ingredients are blended with Microsperse® Technology—a cold-pressed process that sets up each oil to do its best work without the use of fillers or chemical emulsifiers." Was pretty excited about this product. I'm definitely looking for products to help seal in moisture as winter is just around the corner. I was surprised by how thick gross the formula is. It has a "stopper" bottle similar to Clinique's new foundation along with a dropper. I've tried it two nights in a row and I really like it. I'll share my thoughts once I finish the bottle.

I'm already a fan of both of these products. Although I much prefer DHC's Cleansing Oil over Bare Face (which is also more expensive than DHC's).

Linnea is described as a "vintage mauve shimmer." It is really light! This is two coat and I still feel like it's really sheer. It's a pretty color but I also am weird about purple polishes and my fair skin. I feel like it makes my hands look sickly lol. Stay tuned for the nail decals!

What did you receive in your Julep Maven box this month?
