My November Birchbox

This month's Birchbox was all about the upcoming holidays. I opted not to go with the editor's box as I wasn't a fan of the products available. In a shocker I received almost all new brands that I haven't received in past boxes. "The holiday festivities are on the horizon, and there's a chill in the air - what reasons to spend a little more time pampering and polishing? This month is all about making space for those moments. Slather on that luxe face mask, try out that new hairstyle for date night, and head into the most wonderful (and hectic) season feeling your best." Here's what I received:

Temple Spa La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel (.84 fl oz/1.6 fl oz $18) | Obliphica Professional Seaberry Hair Serum (.5 fl oz/2.2 fl oz $38) | Harvey Prince Sincerely Perfume (.05 oz/1.7 oz $55) | theBalm FratBoy® (.02 oz/.3 oz $21) | LOC Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Glam Life (.02 oz $8)

I've received Harvey Prince perfumes before and have mostly enjoyed them. This one has notes of "South African Freesia, Japanese Orange Flower, Moroccan Rose, Turkish Cyclamen, and Indian Tuberose. Hints of spicy Indonesian Clove Bud trickle in with fresh Spanish Mandarin and French Bergamot while deep and intriguing Lebanese Cedarwood and Australian Sandalwood transport you to faraway lands." I don't know what half of those are lol but it smells good.

"FratBoy’s Talc-free, finely-graded powder formula adds just the right flush so you look pledge perfect around the clock." I'm not typically a blush girl since I have naturally rosy cheeks but I really like this one. It is very subtle. Unfortunately, not a big fan of the packaging as it's super tiny (like the shadow one I received and I'm still finishing) so it's hard to get a lot of product on my blush brush.

LOC is Birchbox's foray into beauty products! This lipstick is narrow like a pencil (think NARS) so makes it great for traveling. This color also reminded me of Julep's Plush Pout in Plum Magenta and they swatched very similar. Let me know if you want me to do a more in depth comparison!

"Weightless, no-hold formula nourishes repairs and protects, while adding a luminous, silky finish. Seaberry’s natural UV filters help protect the hair, for longer-lasting color, hydration and shine. Controls frizz and flyaways. Leaves hair with incredible softness and shine." I really liked this product! I don't like to put too many products in my hair because they can weigh it down but this one was definitely "weightless."

"Formulated to cleanse, soften and soothe your skin whilst leaving it beautifully fragrant. Gently cleanses, softens and soothes; rich in botanicals; antiseptic, purifying, cooling and conditioning." It was not an overly fragrant smell but not sure about the "conditioning part." I'll finish it but not blown away.

What did you receive in your Birchbox this month?
