5 Halloween Nail Art Ideas

For my Halloween office holiday party I opted for a gothic look as I 1) had to be in the office all day and 2) was going out to celebrate my co-worker's last day so didn't want to be too much. To accompany my look, I did a gothic ombre with black and red colors (Here's my tutorial). And, of course, had to add a snake nail ring.

Here are 4 other nail art ideas for Halloween that I've done in the past:

My October Beauty Product Favorites (And Not So Favorite)

It seems year after year October becomes that uncertain month. It can be 70 degrees one day and 40 and rainy another day. This has really messed up my beauty routine (and my closet!). Since I get bombarded with products (#beautybloggerproblems) I've been trying my best to finish old products before trying new ones so this post you may see some products that I shared on Instagram months weeks ago. So hopefully you get those answers you've been waiting for!

TSE Spring 2016 Collection

For TSE's Spring 2016 collection, Creative Director Tina Lutz, drew inspiration from Jamaica. She was "captivated by the energy of local dance halls, the spirit of the streets and the cool effortless style of the Jamaican people, Lutz captures the true essence of island life in this break-out collection." Here were some of my favorite looks:

What I've Read Recently

Kim finished more than one book in a month. WOO! Thought I'd share my thoughts on the books I finished recently:

Jen Kirkman's "I Can Barely Take Care of Myself: Tales From a Happy Life Without Kids" - I've been wanting to read this book since it came out (in 2009) because I'm in the same boat.

Weekend Recap: Vegan Celebrations

I miss the days of Monday Morning Gossip and hearing all about your weekends. This week I celebrated being vegan for 2 years. I don't have an exact date where I said "Today I'm vegan!" lol it just started naturally (more on that here). The Meatball Shop had vegan "meat" balls this week only so I went with my brother who is a fan of the real thing as kind of a celebration of the momentous occasion. They weren't the best though. Womp womp.

October TV Reviews

This Fall there hasn't been a whole lotta of new shows I've been interested in. The only new show in September I have maintained watching is Blindspot. TBX I'm waiting to binge on since it's a slow moving show. Here's what I tuned into this month:

Estée Lauder x Birchbox

This month Birchbox partnered with Estée Lauder Companies to create two boxes with some of their best products. Birchbox is donating $104,000 to BCRF and Estée Lauder supports BCRF every year with pink products. I selected Power Pose. Here's what I received:

9 Beauty Products Raising Awareness For Breast Cancer

Beauty Products Benefitting Breast Cancer
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all see the pink ribbons and pink limited edition products roll out benefiting the cause, but we can't forget to take steps to protect ourselves. 1 in 8 US women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime. During NBCAM, everyone is encouraged to educate themselves about symptoms and how to detect it early. In the meantime, here are several beauty products benefiting the cause:

My October Julep Maven Box

This month's Julep Maven box was inspired by New York City, so how could I not select it?! "This month we’re all about polished looks that are impressively easy, the kind you need when you have people to see, places to go, and you’re spending so much time in taxis you epitomize get ready on-the-go. You know, like when you’re hearting NY." Here's what I received:

Quick Beauty Reviews: Clinique, Urban Decay & PÜR Cosmetics

Kim has been on a mission to find a great new foundation for this fall/winter. See Make Up For Ever's HD stick. Clinique launched a new foundation/concealer in one that looked appealing to me. So while shopping at Sephora I added in some other products I've been meaning to get to. Here are my thoughts on recent purchases:

ALFREDO VILLALBA Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

"Transgressive Vision" was the title of the Prêt-à-Porter Collection for Spring/Summer 2016 from ALFREDO VILLALBA presented at Paris Fashion Week. "An intentional title that recalls a pop-punk band led by a rock princess that pumps up the volume of her blatant femininity while seducing with deliberate defiance. Risen in a musical scenario, the star performs her transgressive and rebellious message with a powerful feminine energy flaunting the repertoire of the collection by ALFREDO VILLALBA, a transgressive vision of significantly feminine styles inspired by '80s singer Wendy James." It is the classic mix of feminine with edge. Here were some of my favorite looks:

Weekend Recap & #AdamLippesforTarget Haul

This week kicked my ass. The quick drop in temps were too much and I got sick. Fun times. So it was a lot of cozying up on the couch watching movies.

Yay Or Nay?: Nail Rings

First it was knuckle rings... now it's nail rings! I've been seeing fingernail rings on Pinterest and fashion magazine spreads. Thought the look might be a little impractical but I found a set at H&M so picked them up. I have to say there are some benefits - 1) Great way to hide a nail flaw lol. 2) Add some pizazz to your nail art.
