My September Julep Maven Box

Julep really crammed it all in there

This month's Julep Maven box was "inspired by London’s fall runways, we’re leaning on lipstick this month for a strong point-of-view." There were plenty of fall shades to choose from. Here's what I received:

- Light on Your Lips in Can Can $22
- Length Matters Wow-Impact Mascara $24
- Add-ons: 3 nail polishes
- Bonus: Julep's XOXO & London

"This mascara’s finely tapered, micro-bristle rubber brush layers on more and more mascara for a softly curled, wide-eyed look that stretches the limits." I haven't been impressed with Julep's mascaras in the past and this unfortunately was the same news. It did help lengthen and separate lashes but the formula was so wet that it kept smudging onto my eye. Not love at first sight.

I received another shade of Julep's lipstick in my March box. I was really impressed with the formula so I opted for "Can Can" this month. In the swatches it looked like a deeper, fall red but as you can see by the photos it's more of a coral/red like my other shade. A bit of a bummer. It's a pretty color though.

Julep included their "signature" creme polish in September boxes for free. XOXO is a purple cream. Not sure I'm in love with it yet. I also didn't like the formula of this polish. It was very sheer and the color didn't build up easily.

Rayma is a deep plum color that I liked a lot better than I thought I would. Great Marsala color for fall.

Sara is described as a "Scandinavian blue crème" or a lighter shade of navy. I just got rid a lot of similar Juleps because I felt like they all looked the same. So I guess fate didn't want me to be without navy polishes lol.

Since I added on the Oxygen Nail Treatment (I'm already a fan so figured you didn't need another review), London was my bonus gift so I received 4 polishes! It is a light lavender creme that is not particularly my shade of choice.

What did you receive in your Julep Maven box this month?
