This month's Julep Maven box was inspired by Palm Dessert. Surprised there weren't any July 4th themed colors or add-ons. Julep usually goes all out around the holidays. Anyways... the big item in the box was their new shower cleansing oil. I selected the Modern Beauty Box and added on the other items I wanted, which is the beauty of Julep. Here's what was inside:
Rethink Your Shower Body Cleansing Oil $38
- It’s Fun To Exfoliate All-Natural Body Konjac Sponge $16
- Add-ons: Your Cuticles Look Thirsty Cuticle Crème $20, Brittany $14 & Emery boards (3 pack)
- Extras: April (which I already have) & mints
I added this on because my cuticles are definitely THIRSTY! Julep says: "A super-charged mixture of honey, shea butter, vitamin B5, and salicylic acid that hydrates and heals dry, damaged cuticles." I've been using it for a couple of days and haven't seen any amazing results. It does absorb quickly so I'm going to give it a few more days and then give you a more complete review. Stay tuned!
The new product that Julep was promoting this month. A body version of their cleansing oil. Julep says: "A lightweight blend of cleansing oils that reaches deep to dissolve skin impurities." They also made a body-sized Konjac sponge (which is 3x bigger than the facial one I have) to use with it. Very little product goes a long way as it foams up in the sponge. It is a bit of a weird experience since I used similar items on my face. My skin definitely felt nourished and softer after using. I wish it had a different smell though. If I'm going to use something all over my body then I'd like a better scent (not that it's bad but not my preference). The true test will be using this in the winter.
I added on Brittany because I've been trying to find a peachy creme polish. I may have found it! Really like this color (excuse the horrible nails).
