Review: Julep's Your Cuticles Look Thirsty Cuticle Crème

In this month's Julep Maven box I received their new cuticle creme adorably named "Your Cuticles Look Thirsty." For non-mavens it will run you $20. I had only used it a few times when I reviewed the box so wanted to give a more in-depth review since I know we're all in a quest to quench our cuticle's thirst.

It claims: "A super-charged mixture of honey, shea butter, vitamin B5, and salicylic acid that hydrates and heals dry, damaged cuticles." The consistency is on the thinner side but quickly absorbs into the skin. It's about .5 oz, which is a decent amount of product. I enjoyed the smell but if you don't like shea butter or honey then you might not.

After a week of applying 1-2x a day, my cuticles still look ratchet imo. I'm glad I didn't spend the $20. If it's not helping in the summer then it definitely won't hold up in the winter time.

Verdict: I'd skip it. It is an improvement from the oil Julep had but it didn't quench my cuticle's thirst. The best results for me have been from Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant and Mavala's Cuticle Cream.

What cuticle creams do you enjoy?
