My July Beauty Product Favorites (And Not So Favorite)

It's the end of the month and that means it's time to round up some of the products I've been loving and not loving. Unfortunately, there were more not so favorites this month but I guess you can't win them all. Let's start with the good:

Julep's Rethink Your Shower Body Cleansing Oil $38 - Got this in my Julep Maven box this month and have been enjoying it. I have sensitive skin so I'm careful about what I shower with and have had no issues. My skin feels nice and soft afterwards. You definitely need to use it with the konjac sponge though. Still not the biggest fan of the smell but once I put on body butter I don't notice it.

AYRES Midnight Tango Body Butter $28 - I've reviewed a sample and enjoyed it. So when I saw it on sale at MYHABIT, I opted for a full size. Midnight Tango is a fruity sensual smell. Oo la la. My skin has been very dry this summer. I used to use a lighter lotion in the summer but not this season. I guess that's the fun of getting older.

Liz Earle Instant Boost™ Skin Tonic $25 - About a year ago I had a breakfast with one of the ladies of Liz Earle where we were given products. I've slowly worked my way through all of them and have enjoyed all of them. I'm just about finished with my bottle of their Skin Tonic and I have to say I've really seen results. It helps seal in moisture, it protects skin from free radicals, it also acts as a primer to set makeup. I've loved it and super sad that it I'm about to finish my bottle.
ELYSÉE Fountain of Youth Wrinkle Intervention Creme $54 - I've been trying several ELYSÉE products including their Diminishing Gel & Lip Volumizing Cream and unfortunately I didn't see any special results from them especially with the lip cream. I liked the Fountain of Youth cream the best because it was light and kept my skin moisturized through the night and when I had a breakout it didn't irritate. I just didn't see an improvement in my skin and I'm almost done with the jar. There are other $50 anti-aging nighttime creams I enjoyed better.

Narciso Rodriguez for Her in Color $70 - I got a sample to try from Scentbird. Based on my profile this was suggested to me. I did not care for this smell at all. I do like Narciso Rodriguez's For Her so was bummed I didn't like this version but that's the point of a subscription service like Scentbird. If you want to give it a try, use code IDG25 to get 25% off!

StriVectin® Repair & Protect Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 $89 - After using for two weeks, I didn't notice any spectacular results which is highly disappointing for a $90 product. I gave it to my aunt to try because perhaps my skin isn't the right one for it.

What products did you enjoy this month?
