Birchbox x The Tig

For Birchbox this month I selected the curated box from The Tig. "Since it's summer, I have travel on the brain, which is why I've filled the box with products perfect for an international jaunt on a special staycation. Cheers to feet in the sand and your head in the clouds!" I enjoyed this box as there were many new brands I hadn't tried before. Here's what was inside:

Real Chemistry® Luminous 3-Minute Peel (.17 fl oz/1.7 fl oz $48) | Davines SŪ hair & body wash (2.5 fl oz/8.45 oz $22.50) | Oribe Côte d'Azur Eau de Parfum (.05 fl oz/1.7 fl oz $85) | Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow (.24 oz/1 oz $26.95) | Harvey Prince Hello Body Cream (.5 fl oz/12 fl oz $22)

"Our restorative formula is blended with shea butter to soften, sooth and smooth rough, dry, flaky skin. Hello body crème is an irresistible blend of Sicilian Lemon, Spanish Mandarin and Plumeria botanical extracts leaving your body hydrated and smelling delicious." Wasn't a big fan of the smell and it didn't feel the most hydrating. Thankfully it's travel size so I can just toss it in my suitcase.

"The much-celebrated signature scent for our hair care line. With its sun-drenched notes of Calabrian bergamot, white butterfly jasmine and sandalwood, Côte d’Azur embodies the glamour..." I know Oribe is famous for their hair products (which I've yet to try) but wasn't a big fan of this perfume. It has a musky smell to it, which could be the sandalwood. In the summer I'd prefer a lighter floral scent.

"This Beauty Balm with self-adjusting pigments, powerful antioxidants, aloe and chamomile does it all for your skin." This was a bit dark for me. I added it into my regular foundation but didn't notice anything spectacular.

"Delicate, restorative and moisturizing shampoo and shower gel with a formula that produces a rich and thick foam. It cleanses hair and body after sun exposure, helping to prolong the life of your tan.
The SŪ line has a floral (camellia and mimosa), fruity (apple) and woody fragrance." I love Davines hair products but this one made me feel like a bad beauty blogger. Is it supposed to work as a shampoo? I tried it out and my hair still felt greasy so now I feel like I should shampoo then use it. I'm also not trying to "prolong the life of my tan" #IrishGirlProblems.

"The peel is a Protein Peel.  It will remove large amounts of excess, dead epidermal cells in seconds.  As the synergistic blend of ingredients is gently massaged into the skin, solids form under the fingertips.  These are a combination of the peel’s protein-binding ingredients and epidermal protein." I selected this last month for my customized sample and never received it. Glad I got in this month's box because I really enjoyed it. As the beads work the dead skin turns into balls (think like when your socks pill) so that feels a bit gross. But thankfully it's all over quickly. I really enjoyed the results. My skin felt refreshed and new.

What did you receive in your Birchbox this month?
