"Dad Swagger" card via McBitterson's $5 // "Universal Man: The Lives of John Maynard Keynes" by by Richard Davenport-Hines $20 // Father's Day inspired Mantry crate (1 month sub $75)
I often find my Dad is the hardest person to shop for. Rarely does he give a list. He's the type that if he wants something then he simply just buys it for himself. I also try to mix in a bit of sense of humor with my gifts. In the past I've purchased him a punching bag referee while he watches the Giants. In all honesty, the whole family could have used it this past season. I found this Father's Day card this year and couldn't resist. While trying to decide what to get him I usually do the following:
- Honor his hobbies. My Pops is all about golfing. This sign is right up his alley. In the past I've purchased a wooden sign for his garden.
- Feed his belly. Really can't go wrong with food. Mantry put together a Father's Day crate which includes six american artisan food products to cookout with Dad.
- Amazon picks. Amazon didn't disappoint me for Christmas with their book suggestion. My Dad really enjoyed the book I selected for him so I'm taking a chance again on this book.
What are you getting your Dad this Father's Day?
