My May Beauty Product Favorites (And Not So Favorite)

Another month, another round up! You may have seen some of these before on the blog or on my weekly beauty empties round-ups on Instagram but I always like to give you a condensed list of what I loved (and didn't love) each month. Let's start with the good...

Key West Aloe Environmental Defense Cream SPF 15 $50 - I'm finally finishing up my Key West Aloe lotion from my back-to-school giveaway! I really liked that it was all natural and contained SPF for my fair skin. There's a reason this baby is sold out!

Dermovia Lace Your Face Mask $15 - "This highly enriched formulation contains an effective yet gentle complex of minerals sourced from deep within the seawaters of Tahiti. These natural ingredients instantly provide soothing and calming nourishment by combining botanically derived Squalene, Apple Stem Cell, and Dew Grass Extract." This is such a fun mask and I really felt results after using. You can either heat it up or put it in the refrigerator depending on what sensation you want. I opted for warm so I could relax before bed.

Limited Edition Carmex Moisture Plus® Lip Balm $2.99 - Carmex has released these adorable new designs for their lip balms. I never cared for Carmex in the jar but I'm liking these sticks much better. Plus it fits right into my decor. There are several different designs so you can mix 'n match to your style.

Julep Feels Like Velvet Eyeshadow Duo in 5th Ave & Broadway $20 - I was really impressed with this duo from my Julep Maven box this month especially having such a horrible fail with their orbital shadows (which they never replaced by the way!). The product was high quality and the colors were beautiful.

Callex© Enzyme Ointment For Dry, Cracked Feet $14.95 - If you suffer from dry, cracked feet then GET THIS! It's pedicure season so it's time to get not only your toes but your heels on point. It's an exfoliant and moisturizer in one so no need to scrub. You can find it at your local Rite Aid or Walgreens.
CoverGirl The Super Sizer by LashBlast mascara $7 - I really tried to give this mascara a chance but it failed me every time. It smudged, it flaked, it dried out. #mascarafail

Hourglass's Veil mineral primer $52 - I had high expectations for this primer as it is listed as one of the must try beauty products. I liked that it smoothed out my face and had SPF, but it did nothing in terms of holding my makeup (which is typically the purpose of a primer). If I'm going to spend $18 (travel size) or more on a primer then it better do great things!

What products did you enjoy this month?
