This month Birchbox collaborated with Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere. "Beauty products have a way of instantly transforming my mood, whether I'm taking a bubble bath at the end of a long day or brightening up my look an unapologetically bold lipstick. I love that simple products can have such a profound impact, which is why I'm thrilled to be curating the May Birchbox." Here's what was inside:
TokyoMilk by Margot Elena Bon Bon Shea Butter Handcreme in Dead Sexy (.75 oz/2.3oz $20) | Harvey Prince Sea Salt Texturizing Mist (.27 fl oz/6 oz $22) | Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate (.33 fl oz/1 oz $65) | Sumbody Body Soap in Tuscan Orange (1oz/3oz $5.95) | Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Eyeshadow Quad in Desert Bloom (.08oz/full palette $20)
It has a skull? SOLD! Beautiful packaging on this hand cream. "Unexpected essences are crushed and distilled then blended with extracts of Japanese Green Tea, Mimosa Bark and Dandelion and enveloped in moisture-rich Shea Butter to create this coveted treasure." It's a thick hand cream with not overwhelming scent.
|Looks like Neapolitan ice cream to me|
"Transform your bathroom into paradise. Embrace the citrus noted aromatherapy blend, and let this soap assist you in escaping on a mini vacation as if you were relaxing beneath a Tuscan sunset. Ingredients are Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Mica, and sum Scent Blend." Thankfully the smell was too strong since it wasn't my favorite. Definitely didn't escape to paradise lol.
I tried this Shiseido serum thanks to Klout but I wasn't super impressed.
Apparently the sample I requested ran out so they replaced it with the sea salt spray. A bit of a bummer. I'll review the spray later when it's beach wave season. But overall a good box with some new brands for me to try out.
What did you get in your Birchbox this month?
