I know there are a lot of similarities between the UK and the US, but there are still a few brands that haven’t made it to the other side of the pond yet.
If you’re ever in the UK, Boots and Superdrug are your go to destinations for beauty. The larger of the stores play host to your everyday essentials, such as Maybelline and L’Oreal, as well as getting in some more premium brands. I thought I’d share some of my favourite beauty brands, that you might not come across in the US, but are definitely worth a look into if you’re ever here.
1. Percy & Reed - Percy & Reed is a well-known hairdresser in London and branched out to make products too. While only slightly more expensive than usual hair care brands, it’s worth the extra. These are pretty amazing products, with the Finishing Polish is perfect for smoothing out your hair and making it sleek.
2. Collection 2000 - Collection 2000 is one of the ‘drugstore’ brands here. It’s really affordable and the pieces are really good quality too. It’s a great brand if you need your daily essentials and they pretty much do any and all make up that you need. The Fast Stroke eyeliner is a personal favourite of mine.
3. Barry M - Ask anyone in the UK their favourite affordable nail brand here and I reckon most, if not all, will say Barry M. They are only a couple of pounds each and the colours are all so pretty. The bright colours are so vibrant, while the polishes last ages without getting chipped.
4. Superdrug in house - While Superdrug sells a lot of brands, their in house brand is pretty decent too. The skincare range is particularly good. From daily moisturisers to fruity face masks, this skincare range is pretty amazing. Not to mention the beauty range: B Make up – the range has some really cool products, worth looking in to.
