Rocksbox - A Second Chance

Everyone deserves a second chance. My first experience with Rocksbox wasn't so great. But when they reached out, I thought I'd give them another try. For those who don't know, Rocksbox is a monthly jewelry subscription box. $19 you can borrow 3 pieces of jewelry that were picked by their stylists, and swap them out anytime you want. Here's what was inside:

It comes cutely wrapped in a box. The three items I received were - Jenny Bird Palm Rope Necklace $85, Gorjana Mae Shimmer Ring $43 (similar here), and Trina Turk Pyramid Delicate Frontal Necklace $78.

The Palm Rope necklace was not my style and it was way too huge. I had to hang it on my door knob to capture it in a photo.

Gorjana is a brand I like and this ring would be a keeper but $43 for ONE ring? No. On the site they have a midi-set which is cute.

This Trina Turk necklace was too similar to other necklaces I own for me to purchase it.

Overall, my second experience with Rocksbox was better than my first. Still didn't absolutely fall in love with anything that it would make me want to buy it. But that doesn't mean you won't!

Disclosure: I received a free box for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

  1. I love Gorjana's pieces- but year $40 for a single (tiny!) ring is a bit much. I usually love my Rockbox picks- have one to be delivered soon and I can't wait to see what's inside!

  4. I've heard mixed reviews about the Rocksbox. It's a great idea, but as you know I already have so much jewelry! I agree with you about the Gorjana ring. The sets are a much better value and allow for more styling options, too.

  5. I just ordered Hello mouthwash in Supermint. Which one is your favorite? I couldn't decide which one to order! Can't wait to try it. I don't like NYM's dry shampoo either. Suave's is good, but the scent really gets to me. My favorite is Batiste.

  6. @Alex yeah it's a fun concept. The borrowing throws me off though because to keep "borrowing" an item you have to keep paying the monthly fee but if you don't like anything in the box the next month it feels wasteful.
