Backstage Beauty at #NYFW

Fashion Week is in full swing here in bitterly cold New York City. Backstage is always a buzz - pulling hair, plucking eyebrows - but beauty is pain, right? Not only do we get to see what clothing trends will be happening in the next season but also the beauty trends as well. Here are some of my favorites that I've spotted so far:

Monique Lhuillier's collection was about an edgy sexy so hairstyle Recine used Moroccanoil to create asymmetrical ponytails. I loved the smoldering eyes and red lips to go with this look.

Jamberry collaborated with Christian Siriano for his Fall/Winter 2015 line, which was jungle-inspired. Great to see the ombre trend still around.

A big trend was bobby pins! None more so than at the Cushnie et Ochs show. Antonio Corral Calero used Moroccanoil to create contrasting textures in the hair. Perfect for in between washes hair. I'm going to have to try this look!

Jamberry also created fabulous nail designs for Nicholas K's Fall/Winter show. I loved the dark burgundy crackle print taken directly from the line. They clearly got the Marsala memo!

What beauty trends have you spotted at NYFW?

  1. I love that bobby pin creation- and those ombre nails are gorgeous!

    Le Stylo Rouge

  2. Holy bobby pins! Sometimes I use five and feel like I'm going overboard. Haha!

We all have opinions... I want to hear yours!
