Review: Dr. Jart+ BB Bounce Beauty Balm

When POPSUGAR released their iconic beauty products every girl must try, it gave me a laundry list of items to try! One of those items was Dr. Jart+ BB Bounce Beauty Balm ($48) . I'm already a huge fan of their BB cream so my curiosity was peaked.

The packaging is sleek and futuristic. It comes in a compact and features a cushion compact. Cushion compacts have become quite popular in Asia. "The innovative cushion compacts soak and fill a circular mesh sponge with product, which you press a puff onto to release—lightly for a little coverage, more for a lot. Think of it as BB or CC cream lite. It has the same coverage and myriad skin-care benefits—SPF, antioxidants, antiagers—but in an uber-light texture." I found the best application was with my own sponge rather than the one provided.

It claims: "This multifunctional BB cream is enriched with hydrolyzed collagen and pomegranate extract to firm and tighten skin elasticity as grapeseed oil and arbutin brighten and hydrate. The moist-textured balm conceals blemishes and enlarged pores, corrects uneven skintone and texture, and delivers powerful SPF 30 protection against harmful UV rays. The airtight compact is great for on-the-go touch ups, and the ultramoisturizing formula leaves skin fresh, beautiful, and healthy-looking." There are unfortunately only two shades so I chose Light-Medium, which was a little darker than my skintone.

Would I buy it again? No. I prefer the BB cream in a tube form. It's a good touch up product for on-the-go rather than in the morning for a full face routine.

What new products have you tried recently?

  1. Great review, doll. I'm with you- I like my BB/CC creams in a tube. But I love all the skin perfecting + anti-aging ingredients I'm seeing listed here!

  2. @Ashley White yeah not sure how much it did all those things :/ I love the liquid Dr. Jart+ bb cream though!
