My September Julep Maven Box

This month's Julep Maven box screamed fall to me, which is fitting since it's just around the corner. It was called the Art Walk collection and featured the perfect fall colors: dark purples, reds, and grays. I opted for the Boho Glam box because I was excited for the lip crayon as well as some polish. Here's what was inside:

- 2 nail polishes: 14/each (plus an add-on of my choosing)
- Plush Pout Lip Crayon in Magenta Plum $20
- Extra: Candies

You know I love my lip crayons! I opted for this plum color because it would be the color I'd wear most in the fall. Julep says "full-coverage lip crayon with a moisturizing treatment core in the middle." I didn't think it was that moisturizing and had to apply several times to get the color I wanted but I liked it. I'll be using it a lot this season.

Mary Lee is described as an "oxblood satin." I wasn't into the satin finishes. I'm not a fan of matte. Mary Lee was too similar to other colors (and Juleps) I had.

Can ya tell the difference?! Hint: Quinn is the matte one.

I added on Quinn but disappointingly it looked exactly like Millie which I had on my nails earlier in the week, just a different finish.

A color that I did love and had on my nails all week was Erin, an oyster grey crème. It also happens to be the name of my favorite cousin so it made me smile.

What did you receive in your box this month?

  1. i like what you got! i am sharing ipsy today! Elle Sees

  2. I loved this collection too! It's so very '90s, which I love. I got Erin and Quinn and added on Ryan. Love them all!

  3. I hate when I buy polishes that look different and end up being similar - or when I get similar shades in boxes.

  4. wasn't too shabby. The lip crayon saved it for me.

  5. @jointhegossip I know :( Especially the same brand! Ugh
