My September Birchbox

The theme of this month's Birchbox was Fresh Paint. "September means turning the page on summer, and diving into fall's colors, textures and inspiration." It is also Birchbox's 4 year anniversary. Here's what I received:

"Notes include meyer lemon, white grapefruit, satsuma mandarin, summer forsythia, pink plumeria, wild verbena, tahitian vanilla,  and sensual musk." I would say it is a "friendly" fragrance. Very light.

"This serum has been formulated to offer a triple action: brighten, soften and tighten you skin while providing active ingredients to boost collagen, minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, as well as, even skin tone." Wasn't impressed and it even made my skin have a burning/stinging sensation when I applied.

If you've read this blog recently then you've probably seen me gush about Liz Earle. This was one of the samples we could choose in our box. This kit is perfect for traveling.

"... is a moisturizing, quick absorbing hand cream enriched with natural extracts from shea butter, avocado oil and aloe.  The rich cream will leave your skin feeling soft, silky and lightly fragranced of green tea and lemon." It was a lightly scented hand cream. I just have so many that I passed this one on.

Thought this was a pretty color but unfortunately not the shade for me.

And because I'm a crazy person who can't pass up nail polish, I added on the RUFFIAN Blush Collection + 10 packs of their Dressing Room Nail Lacquer Remover Towelettes, which I enjoyed in my July box. The 3 colors were "Love to Love" a bubble gum pink (thumb); "No More Tears" a grayish purple (pointer finger) & "Lady of the Night" a red plum color (middle finger). All gorgeous colors but definitely preferred the dark red and purple.

What did you receive in your Birchbox this month?
