Review: Studio Gear Cosmetics CC Cream

When Brand Backer offered me the chance to try Studio Gear's Hydrating CC Cream, I jumped on the chance because I love trying new products. I've been doing thorough research. CC stands for Color Corrector. Studio Gear states that "this foundation simultaneously fights aging, retains moisture, and covers and treats blemishes with a non-oily, perfectly radiant finish." It is on the higher price point costing $34 for 1 fl oz.

Studio Gear Cosmetics was founded by industry veterans Steve Rohr and John Avolio in 1996. This is a line created true to the concept that every woman deserves professional, high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price. Studio Gear has been on set at hundreds of professional photo shoots and at the beauty departments of Bloomingdales, Macy's, Dillard's, HSN as well as ULTA.
At the moment there are only 3 shades: Linen, Natural and Wheat. Pretty sure I received Wheat because it was at least 2 shades too dark for my skin tone. I think Linen would have blended better. It also starts off white like L'Oreal's Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream, which I'm not particularly a fan of. It did even my skin tone but otherwise I was not impressed with the claims of this product. Hopefully they expand their line to accommodate more women.

Would you try this CC Cream?

Disclosure: I received a free product for review courtesy of BrandBacker.
