Today's guest post comes from Laura of Blush & Beakers.

Every year the fashion and beauty world awaits with excitement the Pantone Color of the Year selection. While one color does not single-handedly determine what will be popular in the upcoming year, the color still affects what might be on trend. This year the shelves were inundated with Emerald products, from nail polishes to accessories to home decor and next year the color will be Radiant Orchard. Pantone describes the color as “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

While I think Radiant Orchid is the perfect purple to add to your beauty routine, be careful not to go overboard. I have three tips/suggestions for incorporating Radiant Orchid into your routine:

1) Choose one accent at a time. If you choose a Radiant Orchid lip color don’t wear matching eyeshadow at the same time.
2) Radiant Orchid is the inspiration. It’s okay if you can’t find a beauty product that is an exact match, choose a similar tone and make it work.
3) Be bold! Don’t be afraid to try a radiant orchid blush or maybe highlights in the hair (these beauty accents are typically not done in purple hues).
