4 Books I've Read This Semester

"Positioning: The Battle For Your Mind" // "Accidental Branding" (actually my professor's book!) // "Tipping Point" // "Content Rules"

It's been awhile since I've linked up for Book Club Friday because grad school has consumed all of my reading time and wasn't sure if you all wanted reviews on marketing books. This semester has been especially crazy because for one class I have to read 6 books (not including case studies and weekly articles)! However, it's exposed me to a lot of great books and thought I'd share which ones I think would be relevant:

Even if you're not interested in entering a career in marketing, I still recommend reading Malcolm Gladwell's Tipping Point because it's an eye opening look at how the world works. I've had this book on my bookshelf long before school so I'm glad I finally was required to read it for class because it lived up to all the praises. Malcolm Gladwell is an amazing person with an unique perspective on the world so I would recommend any of his books or TED talks.

Content Rules is a great book for anyone looking to get into blogging or for veteran bloggers (like myself) looking to take their blog to the next step. I know while reading it I got a lot of wheels spinning in my head. It really breaks everything down very simply and in great detail.

What books have you read recently?

  1. The content rules book looks quite good. It'd come in handy for me at work. I seem to have gone completely back to novels. I'm reading: Little coffee shop in Kabul. It's a really good book.
