Weekend Recap: Netflix & Shopping

I watched Ricky Gervais's new show on Netflix, Derek. It was a lot easier to get through than OITNB because there were only 7 episodes that were 24 minutes. If you don't know, it's the story of an old people's homes and focuses on the life of the staff. Derek is 'special' (no one will say, only that he's the kindest soul) and in a depressing place where people die every week he is a sweet, innocent soul that keeps everyone going. I wish he had someone else play the lead role because I just don't think he's a good actor. It's a good story to tell. You don't see stories like this very much on TV but his acting just really got in the way of me enjoying the show.

I only really wanted one item from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target® collection and of course I couldn't get it online (the sweatshirt pictured above). I was interested in the accessories but Target bags always break on me so I didn't trust the quality and resisted the temptation. But that just meant I could spend the money I saved on Popbasic's new collection!
Sunday was also of course football and Breaking Bad night. Peyton showed who was the better of the brothers demolish the Giants 41-23. Then it was onto Breaking Bad. It was such a difficult episode to watch. As Bill Hader, Dean Norris (aka Hank) and Chris Hardwick said on Talking Bad, "if you still love Walt now... what's wrong with you?!" Hardwick jested that Vince Gilligan was like "oh you still like Walt? How about now?" I have no idea how they are going to wrap up the show but I'm going to have an aneurism before it happens.

What did you do this weekend?

  1. I am a major R&B fan, who recently moved to South Florida. I thought I had left all the R&B radio stations back in New York, but boy was I wrong. X102.3 is my new favorite station for the hottest and latest R&B tracks. It’s easy to get hooked on this www.thex1023.com

  2. I had to run to Target this morning and they had the sweatshirts, but they felt so stiff because of the full screenprint on the front. I wasn't impressed with any of it much. Needless to say I didn't get anything and I'm 100% okay with that ;)

  3. I totally missed the collection release. I wonder if there is anything left at the target by me. Breaking BAD was UNREAL!! I am going crazy wondering how it will end!

  5. @Jennifer Durham really? I like the sweatshirt. Very comfy for me although I went a size up.

You always have to watch out for quality with these collections since it's made at Target level. Glad you fought the urge :)
