Transitioning My Wardrobe For Fall

Transitioning Your Wardrobe From Fall
Bernardo Cotton & Faux Leather Anorak Jacket from Nordstrom ($110) // NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick - Red Lizard $26 // SUPERGOOP! City Sunscreen Serum $20 // H&M Cardigan and leggings // Liz Claiborne Nicole Leather Riding Boots from JcPenney ($99) // Jordan Taylor Athena scoop back 3/4 sleeve tunic (on sale $34)

I have been dreaming of fall clothes ever since mid-July where we experienced a few cool, breezy days after 100+ temperatures. Plus, the September issues of fashion magazines were rolling out and it always makes me wish fall weather would come faster. Plus, I think fall weather in the city is the best weather (and fashion!). Here are some ways I'm transitioning my wardrobe for fall:

- Jeans all year round. I finally jumped on the boyfriend jeans bandwagon and boy was I glad I did. I practically lived in them this summer and I know I'll be loving them in the fall with a relaxed sweater or with some cut-out booties.

- Layers! The easiest way to take some of your favorite summer pieces to cooler weather is with layering. I like to wear my summer dresses with some leggings, an oversized cardigan and riding boots.

- Leather details. I'm so excited I got this leather-sleeved anorak during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I've been coveting one since last fall. It's lightweight enough to layer up but the leather details are the perfect fall accent.

- Don't forget your beauty routine! SPF is a must all year round but in the fall you need to start sealing in moisture into your skin with serums. I love Supergoops! SPF serum. I'll also be transitioning my makeup. Instead of using powders to set my makeup, I'll focus more on liquid primers to keep moisture sealed in as well as a dark red lip.

How are you transitioning your wardrobe to Fall?

  1. I'm ready for fall not so much winter. I love cooler crisper weather. If it can stay like that through out winter I'd be happy. lol I'm still on the hunt for a new leather motor jacket.
