Weekend Recap: Christmas in Cali

This will be less of a 'weekend recap' and more of a 'week recap' as I just traveled to California for the holidays to visit my sister and her family. Christmas morning my nephews came over to unwrap presents from Santa. Jacob, who is 4, is obsessed with Ninjago (which if you don't know are legos) so the adults spent the entire day putting together over 2,000 lego pieces. Lucky kid!

My mom used humorous Justin Bieber paper to wrap my gifts. I got a lot of awesome goodies thanks to Pinterest! I got these House of Harlow 1960 Chelsea sunglasses, this skull sweater I've been looking all over for and quite a few other things from the Christmas Wish List board I made. Most importantly I got a new digital camera!!

During the rest of the week, I saw Django Unchained with my Dad and brother. It was awesome! I highly recommend it if you love Tarantino films. Some parts I had to cover my eyes but Christoph Waltz was brilliant. I laughed at everything that came out of his mouth. I also got my nails done with my mom and sister. I used "Live and Let Die" from OPI's Skyfall collection that I got for Christmas. I think it's a dark green with grey specks but everyone had an opinion on what color it was. Either way... I like it! I like all the colors from the mini-set.

How was your weekend?

  4. I cannot WAIT to see Django - I'm such a Tarantino fan and when I found out that Leo and Waltz were going to be in it, I was immediately sold.
Love this post, girl! It looks like you had an amazing time, and I absolutely adore your family - especially your mom with the wrapping paper! Your nephew is also the most precious boy I've ever seen. <3
