My Favorite Happenings From This Weekend

MidtownGirl got engaged! One of the sweetest bloggers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting got engaged. She hosts #datechat on Fridays and is writing a book offering her advice about dating and after 5 years of online dating she found a really great man. I'm so happy for her!

Watching For A Good Time Call. I really loved this movie! It was really refreshing movie about female friendships. It has a touch of HBO's Girls and is set in New York City so there was a lot of Brooklyn vs Manhattan humor. Justin Long plays the gay best friend. I could relate to the being broke in the city part but it was great to see a story about female friendships being positive plus it was written and produced by women (like Bridesmaids).

Yippee!
An empty DVR. I love the weekends for catching up on my shows. It was nice to see an empty DVR player before the next week begins and it will be filled up again.

Realizing I've read 3 books in the past month. I didn't read as many books this summer as I had hoped but my winter reading has been more efficient then I realized. I read 2 eBooks and 3 hardcovers since September but 3 of them have all been in November (and one week into December). Stay tuned for the latest book I read later this week.

Tree Pimp. I wasn't that impressed with SNL this weekend. Jamie Foxx had his own show which he was hilarious so I don't know why they couldn't come up with better sketches. But the digital short titled "Tree Pimp" was hilarious and pretty ingenius. I loved when he was talking to the baby tree.

David Wilson. The rookie running back for the New York Giants had an explosive night which lead us to victory over the Saints, 52-27 and hopefully leading us to a smooth road to the playoffs.

Carmelo. After missing 2 games with a finger injury, Carmelo Anthony returned to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. They were looking to remain undefeated at home against Melo's former team, Denver Nuggets and successfully did so beating them 112-106.

What did you do this weekend?

  4. Ugh Sunday was PAINFUL. Our whole season has bee so rough. I am eagerly awaiting the rulings on "Bountygate" and hope the truth will come out. Excited to have Sean Payton back next year. Anyways, those backflips were pretty awesome. And I appreciate that your team has cool guys on it. I hate when teams are jerks and your boys aren't :)

Thanks for linking up with us.
