My November Sample Society Box

Hooray! My beauty boxes are beginning to arrive after Hurricane Sandy derailed most shipping and affected many of their fulfillment centers. They all graciously sent emails out apologizing for delays but I definitely understand that it was unusual circumstances so I patiently waited. BeautyBar.com's Sample Society was the first to arrive. And there were some new updates.

They changed their usual booklet. Now there's a separate card with all the products featured and a more magazine-esque booklet from the Allure editors. I definitely like the upgrade and they obviously took note from the other beauty boxes.

Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Dry Oil Mist (1 fl oz/ 4.2 oz $24) | Dermalogica Precleanse (1 fl oz/ 5.1 fl oz $35) | Diptyque Volutes Eau de Toilette (.06 fl oz sample/ 1.6 fl oz $88) | L'Occitane Shea Hand Cream (.3 oz/ 5.2 oz $28) | Diego Dalla Palma Rosetto Classico Lipstick in Pink Satin (full size $34)

I've wanted to try their hand creams because I've heard good things (apparently one is sold every three seconds). Signed up for a free sample on their Facebook page but never got anything so glad I got a sample. I really like it! It's a nice size to throw in your purse to keep your hands moisturized on the go.

This lightweight absorbing mist can be used as a treatment or a style primer to eliminate frizz, shield hair from heat styling tools, enhance shine and protect color while boosting your hair’s health. I received another Alterna sample in my June Sample Society box but wasn't a big fan. However, this product changed my opinion. I sprayed it on my wet hair and let it dry overnight. My hair felt soft and had a nice shine to it. Not to mention it smells good!

This rich lipstick gives a velvety, moisturizing effect with anti-aging properties. Comes in 18 intense shades. This is the smallest lipstick I've ever seen! It was pretty cute. I liked the color, it was like a rosy pink. It glides on well and lasted for a long time when I went out to dinner with it on.

This perfume is newly launched. I know Diptyque fragrances are highly sought after and praised but I haven't liked the samples I've received. I'm passing this on to to Blush and Beakers who is the chemistry experiment so she appreciates these fragrances.

I love Dermalogica's Daily Microfoliant! And after using this precleanse, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. This precleanse oil removes dirt, makeup and oil from your skin. I love these all-in-one products because it makes my nightly routine a lot quicker. They also included a sample of their Special Cleansing Gel which is recommended to follow after.

What did you get your in Sample Society box this month?
