My November Birchbox

This month's Birchbox was in celebration of Thanksgiving: giving thanks, giving back, and giving treats. They partnered this month with The Art of Elysium, a non-profit that encourages actors, artists, and musicians to dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. What an awesome cause and they have curated celebrity picks for you to shop. But back to the box...

They include a holiday gift guide for men, women, and the home. All the items are available on their site.

Then they included a little extra something special in a cute box. The card teased it could be a piece of jewelry or a beauty item. I was hoping for jewelry but it was beauty products. More samples for me! They also encouraged you to reuse the box to gift to someone else where you could check off the boxes.

Masqueology Revitalizing Eye (3 masks $24) | stila all over shimmer liquid luminizer in Pink Shimmer (.05 fl oz/ .5 fl oz $20) | One Love Organics Neroli Aromatic Body Serum (.27 fl oz/ 3 fl oz $39) | Masqueology 7D Moisture Cream (.03 fl oz/ full size 68) | Masqueology Masque Cleanse (.03 fl oz/ full size $32) | MCMC Fragrances in Phoenix (.05 fl oz/ .3 fl oz $45) |

Seemed like this box was sponsored by Masqueology with 3 products from them. Their Masque Cleanse with Bubble Technology gentle cleanses the skin and lightly exfoliates. It contains anti-oxidants to help detoxify skin while refining your pores. I really liked this cleanser, it was very gentle and my skin looked healthier after wash. I followed it with their 7D Moisture Day and Night Cream which promotes the skin'd production of Vitamin D. Helps diminish fine lines, wrinkles and creates an overall younger, smoother appearance. I agree! Although the sample was VERY tiny, I was impressed how my skin looked after using both of these products together.

This body serum smelled pretty yummy. However, it wasn't listed on the One Love Organics website which I thought was odd. According to the card it says it is made with pumpkin seed and sea buckthorn oil. It's a fast-absorbing oil that keeps skin supple and hydrated plus has aromatherapy benefits. I usually use baby oil to lock in moisture during the colder months. This product seems like a great option as well!

I used to use stila's all over shimmer liquid luminizer in the classic gold color which seems to not be available anymore. This pale pink shade is great to highlight around your eyes and cheekbones. It contains soft focus pigments that help diminish skin imperfections and minimize the appearance of fine lines and sun spots. You can mix it into your face lotion or foundation for a more radiant look. Comes in 3 other shades.

The description of this fragrance was a little corny "Phoenix is about a girl I know. With fair skin and light blond hair, she’s ethereal and beautiful like a mythical fire bird. When I call her she does not come, but she floats in and out of my life." It has top notes of peach and cherry blossom, gradually giving way to sturdy Tunisian neroli and a light, powdery vanilla. I wasn't a big fan.

I also received a 15% discount code to CHROMATICgallerie.com. You can enjoy this offer by using "BIRCHFRIEND15" at checkout. Expires 12/31/12. Enjoy!

What did you get in your Birchbox this month?
