How to Wear Tights in the Winter

I received two pairs of No nonsense tights and leggings and I thought they best way to show off these affordable options were to wear them from day to night. Since so many gals are still committing the "pants aren't leggings" faux pas, I wanted to show the "proper" way to wear them.

Sweater dress: Kid's section at Target; No nonsense Corduroy Leggings in apple red; Shearling booties via Zappos; Chain link bracelet via Send the Trend
For my daytime look, I wore the Apple Red Corduroy Leggings along with a sweater dress. Full coverage ladies! I received a size small which fits size 4-6. I'd say it fits generously because I found them to be lose in the waist (hallelujah!). They are made with 66% Cotton/31% Polyester/3% Spandex so they fit nice and snug. Corduroy is a great fabric for the colder months as it adds extra warm but also is fun to rub your hands on (lol!). I tried to show a close-up of the material. Definitely great for winter and add a pop of color during these cold, dark days. Thank you to Laura for taking the pics.

Blouse: H&M; Skirt: Kohl's; No nonsense Super Opaque Control Top Tights in black; Suede booties: Gabriella Rocha via Zappos; Jacket: Old Navy; Necklace: Zara (won from Style of Sam's giveaway); Bag: H&M
Black opaque tights are a must-have for any East Coaster who doesn't want to sacrifice their style in the colder months like when I wore shorts with them! However, finding a great pair of opaque tights is quite the challenge. I find most are too sheer and don't keep my legs warm enough. I wore No nonsense's Super Opaque Control Top tights during a night when it dropped in the 30s here in the city and my legs were much warmer than with other tights. I loved the control top because it acts like a pair of Spanx. They're 89% Nylon/11% Spandex so everything was sucked in. Black goes with everything and you can play with colors or keep the look monochromatic. I really loved the coverage I got with these tights and they'll definitely be getting a lot use. Thank you to Alex for taking the pics.
