My September POPSUGAR Must Have Box

This month's POPSUGAR Must Have Box was all about getting ready for fall. With POPSUGAR Must Have, you'll get a monthly box, full of hand-selected items from their editors. Each box will include a variety of full-size products worth over $100. You can pay monthly at $35 per box or save some money with a longer subscription. I'm not a fan of the box coming the month AFTER but this box was pretty amazing. Here's what I received:

The Perks of Being a Wallflower paperback book ($14) & 2 movie tickets via Fandango ($24) | Rifle Paper Co. Notepad ($8) | Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips (1.5 oz bag/ $3.43 6 oz) | Brokedown Silver Marble Fringe Scarf ($84) | Extra: Popsugar Must-Have Cosmetic Bag | Tracie Martyn Skin Care Salon Gift Certificate ($25 value) | Kitsch "Swan Lake" Hair Ties (set of 4 $9.99) | benefit Cosmetics cabana glama Makeup Kit ($36 retail value) | Becky's Blissful Bakery Original Sea Salt Caramels (4 oz $10.49) | Pop-Up Pantry free dinner and cookie | Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Facial Towelettes (travel size)

Since there are so many items, I'm going to break them down by category:

Food: I've heard bloggers complain about the food items noting that they're just extras that don't add value to the box. I disagree! I have enjoyed all the snacks included in the boxes. The sweet potato chips were delicious - gobbled them up! The caramels were to die for! And Pop-Up Pantry included a delicious cookie along with a code: musthave9 for a free dinner.

Beauty: 1) I appreciate a gift card towards skincare products. 2) Don't really need another makeup bag. 3) I reviewed the Yes to Blueberries Facial Towelettes in my April Birchbox. These makeup wipes are good for traveling so always enjoy having some on hand. 4) Remind me a lot of the Twistbands I always get in my Birchbox. 4) Really liked this item although it felt a little out of place in a fall box - the colors are pretty.
Snapped a quick pic in my hallway mirror (please excuse...)
Brokedown uses special dyes and wash process to create a super soft, vintage look. I'm all for scarves as they are a must-have accessory for fall. Enjoy 50% off with the code: musthave50!

My favorite item has to be the free movie tickets! I really want to see this movie and movie tickets are freaken expensive so thanks POPSUGAR!

*UPDATE 10/3: Somehow I ended up with two subscriptions and was charged twice this month and stuck with an extra box I don't want. I am trying to cancel right now.
**UPDATE 10/4: They said they canceled my account so we'll next month if I get charged. Thankfully I was able to sell the extra box to another blogger so I didn't lose $35 for no reason.

*Update: They never responded to my inquiry about replacement products for the ones that arrived broken last month which is annoying. Luckily there weren't any broken items in this month's box.

  3. This looks like a VERY good box. If you read the book, definitely share your thoughts. I was planning on picking it up to read, before watching the film.

    1. Yes, it's a bit pricier than other boxes but you do get your money's worth

  7. I think posting the code for the free dinner was probably a poor decision. It's not working for a lot of people now and with no expiration date that's kind of bogus. To be fair though, they should have issued separate codes for individual boxes. All in all, it's pretty shitty, I really wanted to try one of those dinners.

    1. Well maybe the company ran out? It is a startup so perhaps were they were overloaded with offers. I would shoot them an email.

    2. Yeah I have but I haven't received a response yet. Others are stating they're only offering a $5 coupon. I honestly think the company handled it wrong, if they used a variety of coupon codes it's more likely that more of the people who paid for the must have box would have been able to use it. The increase in system costs are usually minimal for that kind of thing and they would have been able to control orders a bit more. I just feel kind of jipped.
