July Glossybox Review

It seems like beauty subscription sites are popping up everywhere! The latest invasion is GLOSSYBOX which has crossed the pond and finally arrived in the states. They all work similarly, each month you'll receive 5 travel size samples of beauty brands to try out their products. However, Glossybox is $21 a month because it includes a magazine and the sizes of the samples are supposed to be larger than other typical beauty subscription services. The GLOSSYBOX is definitely larger than Birchbox and Sample Society:

Glossybox towers over my Sample Society and Birchbox

July's theme was "Summer Nights" with products that will help you show off your sun kissed skin and hair and enhance sultry eyes. Here's what I received:

I don't have color-treated hair but tried these out anyways. They were really hard to locate online, it was mostly for salon suppliers (or Amazon). I didn't like the foaming conditioner because I didn't feel like it lathered into my hair. The shampoo bottle reminded me of Axe (lol!).
I've never tried Senna Cosmetics but like that they are not tested on animals and mineral based. The medallion trio features metallic gold and khaki with matte fudge brown colors. Look forward to creating a smoky eye with these colors!

I'm always interested in trying organic products. I am also obsessed with lip balms but I didn't like the taste of this one. (It's hard not to taste it when it's on your lips). I do like that you can use it on other dry skin areas so I'll give those a try.

I really enjoyed this foot cream. It had a great smell and definitely softened them when I applied over night.

This towelette made my box smell delicious! Notes include bright red currant, vanilla, sweet lemon, spicy ginger and a hint of sugar. I decided to throw it in my underwear drawer.

Would you sign up for Glossybox?

Disclosure: This box was provided to me for review. All opinions are my own.

  3. Haha, love that you threw it in your underwear drawer - what a great idea to put the scent on clothes! My mom does it with those scent samples in magazines lol.

    1. haha way to catch that ;) Aerie gives you little popuri things to throw in so I figured why not put this in there as well.

      Your mom is genius!

  4. Wow, the American Glossybox looks much better than the UK one. I've never gotten samples that big! How much are some of the other ones then? I know all the beauty boxes have a flat rate of £10 per month.

    1. Oh really? Good to know! This one is $21 month a month. Birchbox is $10 and Sample Society is $15. Generally they're $10
