Review: NuMe Flat Iron

For $25 I got $125 worth of hair styling products from Nume. After redeeming on Lifebooker, I received a coupon code for when I checked out. I only had to pay $8 for shipping. So in total I spent $33 for a $175 flat iron! I ordered the petite flat iron in blue.

Some of the benefits are the ceramic plates that heat up in seconds. The petite flat iron is good for traveling and easy to handle.

It's a lot more compact and easier to manage compared to my old chunky flat iron that I've had since high school.

Unlike my Vidal Sassoon flat iron, the plates were black and it featured a power button that you have to switch on before it heats up. It's a good safety measure!

Before using your flat iron (or blow dryer), spray your hair with a heat protectant (so important!). I use Tresemme's which is under $5.

I'm an amateur flat ironer. I only use it to smooth out a kink in my hair so please consider that in the Before and After photos below:

Excuse my faces....
I was fairly happy with the product. I don't have a lot of needs with a flat iron. I also think since it's so small that I'll be able to use it to curl my hair (never figured that out!). Get your loot now!

Have you tried Nume products before? What are your thoughts?

  1. Wow, what a great deal!! I have an old iron that works wonderfully for my thick hair. I will try the Tresseme heat protectant - I use Organix now..
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I love your review! Especially the before and after picture! It's so helpful to see how good it works on your hair!
I am debating between the NuMe mini and petite. I want a small one that's easy to travel with but at the same time easy to use.
Can you help me with measuring your petite and tell us how long it is? (I can kinda tell from your picture but not quite sure...)

    1. It's 12 inches long but the plates are 4 inches - hope it helps!

  3. Hey Kim,
I can't tell if it's the lighting but is the colour of the blue one anything like the bright blue on the nume website, or would you say it's more subtle and darker? I was going to go with the blue because I love the intensity of the colour (shown on the NuMe website) but I'm glad you posted pics cause now I'm not sure! Might go with pink now, LOL~ love the review thanks!
