Review: CoverGirl's LashBlast Fusion Mascara

Image via

I am not a fan CoverGirl's LashBlast mascaras because of the rubber bristles. I prefer a mascara that combs through my lashes. However, my Maybelline Falsies mascara was drying up so I was in the market for a new one.  It was $10.49 at Duane Reade (Manhattan's pricing for ya), but I found it online for $7.99.

I bought it in Very Black. They also have Black and Black Brown.

The brush had thinner bristles to keep your eyelashes from clumping, which I liked. I also didn't need to wipe off excess mascara with a tissue.

No mascara

With CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion (no lash curler)
With Falsies mascara (no lash curler)
It didn't give me the va va voom eyelashes I was looking for so I added a coat of Maybelline Falsies mascara for more impact. I'd wear it for an evening look... not every day.

I was actually surprised by this mascara. I usually purchase waterproof since I find non-waterproof irritates my eyes but this wasn't the case with this particular mascara. Although it didn't give me the dramatic lashes that Falsies does, I would buy it again.

Have you tried this mascara? What are your thoughts?

  1. My mascara is drying up as well, so I'm on the hunt for a new one. This one seems perfect. As I wear so much eyeliner, I tend to only wear a light coat of mascara.

  2. I like how the falsies mascara looked better. Thank you for this product tryout I need a new mascara ( I change mine ever 3 months.

    1. that's good! I'm bad at throwing them out and then they start to irritate my eyes :/

  3. I love this mascara! I used to use great lash, but that irritated my eyes. Plus if I forget to take it off, it doesn't smudge a lot when I wake up. For night I have this layered under Diorshow.

    1. I have to give Diorshow a try - I hear good things!
