My e.l.f. Black Friday Haul

I took advantage of e.l.f's Black Friday sale were items were half off and free shipping. I like to order from them because they are usually pretty quick on their turn around. However, this order took 5 days to process and over a week to arrive when I've had orders processed and at my door in one day! I wasn't sure what the hold up was but let's move on. It can be hit or miss with such inexpensive products but it's fun to play around with. Here's what I got:

I wanted to try their Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths which were $3. They were of a weak fiber. I definitely prefer Pond's cleansing cloths even though they are nearly 3 times as much.

I reversed the Champagne and Smoky Brown swatches

I've been wanting this Mint Cream nail polish for awhile. Also, for $2 I figured I'd tried these other colors: Champagne (metallic sheen), Smoky Brown (matte) and Light Pink (pale and irredescent. Not sure why the pink one came packaged while the others didn't.

The Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint intrigued me. I decided to try the "Natural" shade. However, it was a pretty dark color... wish I opted for a rosier color.

I love their cream eyeliners so I went a little overboard and purchased 3 colors! Midnight, Gunmetal and Copper. Unfortunately, the ones I had dried up so they don't last more than 6 months.

Their Tone Correcting Concealer appealed to me as a fair skinned girl who's dark circles are always showing. I purchased Ivory (the lightest shade). I really liked that it seemed heavy enough to last all day.

Their cream Body Shimmer was pleasantly surprising. It goes on smoothly and leaves a nice shine.

Lastly, I got their Nail Polish Remover Pads to try - just a dollar for 18 pads! Will keep you updated...

Did you buy anything on Black Friday?

  1. Thanks for the great review! I will definitely consider the Tone Correcting Concealer. I have some major dark circles right now.

  2. Oh what a great haul! Love the nail polishes, gorgeous colors!

  3. Wow, looks like you got an amazing haul!! The gel eyeliners look great.

  4. I like the polishes that you chose.

  5. What a great Black Friday deal! I would've bought from them but I promised myself to spend my money on clothes (and I think my husband would have a heart attack if I bought any more makeup! LOL). I'm a fan of their eyeshadows and I did take a look at their makeup wipes but if they're thin like you said, I'll stick to my baby wipes! :)

    Great review!

  6. What a great deal. Sucks that it took awhile, but for that price I'd live with it. Maybe so many orders were placed and that's why it took longer?

  7. Great buys! I want to try a mint green polish! And i got a winter coat on black friday, but i cant have it till xmas! Bah-hambug!

  8. I love the ELF makeup removers because they have a lower alcohol content which irritates my skin less.

  9. I completely forgot about this promotion, which I kicked myself for afterwards. I really like e.l.f. lipsticks and there are a bunch of other products I've been meaning to try! The Nail Polish Remover Pads are very intriguing... you'll have to let us know if they work!

  10. @Fashion by Alicia- Aw I use Benefit's Bo-ing concealer typically

@Jenny- Thanks! Can't wait to play with them :)

@Sherin- Thanks... haven't done one in awhile!

    @Rebecca- Glad I got your approval ;)

@MJ- haha cut off from makeup?! Well at least you still get to buy clothes :)

@Leann- That's really lame if that's the case... haha

@Style me BAD- Aw boo! I hate when I pick out something but have to wait to get it :)

@Courtney- Really? I find it smells a lot and is not good quality.

@Alex Elizabeth- Well they have a lot of sales going on so sign up to find out. I usually wait for free shipping since they charge you $7!
