An Open Letter to the Creep on the Subway

Dear Creepy Guy on the Subway,

Let's remember the day, shall we? It was a cold, crisp fall day in New York. We were on the 6 train heading downtown. I was headed to work, doing my usual routine. Got off the crowded train around 10 am and hustled up the stairs. I felt a brush against my back end and didn't think much of it. It's crowded, it could have been someone's bag. But no... you couldn't have just let it go. Could you? Once we reached the top of the steps, you couldn't have just let me walk on with my day in peace thinking nothing of the incident. You thought it was a good idea to wink, smile and wave at me as if I would be so flattered by your unwarranted actions. Just a note: a wink is never an appreciated gesture especially when coming from a stranger.

Let me just remind you because you've seem to have forgotten: My ass is not an invitation. Do not touch it when you feel like it. Do not touch it when it's 10 o'clock in the morning. Do not touch it when I'm completely bundled up. Do not touch it when I'm on my way to work. And if you happen to touch, do not let me know that you touched it. Just be happy that you got away with it and leave it be. You don't need to ruin my day with your disgusting behavior.

Next time, keep your hands to yourself! Thank you.

P.S. Feel free to pass this information along to your friends for the sake of women and all subway passengers.

  2. I can so relate. It's one thing if it's super crowded & packed full of people - it's another to do it on purpose. Gross!

    @Ashley- Aw thanks :)

    @NodtoStyle- Well I've been here 4 years so it was awhile. A lot of my friends have been robbed (mostly cell phones taken out of their hands) thankfully hasn't happened to me yet
