Kitty Bradshaw Meet 'n Tweet Event

Last night I attended my first Kitty Bradshaw Meet 'n Tweet. Kitty is quite the personality and I knew I'd have a great time. I saw some familiar faces and met some new ones. How the event worked was Kitty gathered her favorite items for the holidays and had someone from the companies come up and speak about the products - then we got to take them home!

The venue sponsors were nRelate which I had never heard of but you know those plugins where you can recommend other posts "You may like" etc. Well nRelate allows you take posts from your own site or other bloggers you like to help them promote their site. They are also working on expanding their advertising network so bloggers can earn some money. It sounds like a great company for bloggers and I will definitely be checking them out.

Pencil Me In Cosmetics are healthy eyeliners made from a natural formula that contains vitamins and anti-oxidants. My favorite part was that the sharpeners are built into the cap! She had a really cool sketch on the side of her head that I tried to get a good shot of but you can check out cool designs at Graff Etch. I received two pencils in my goodie bag: Indigo and Amethyst.

Enovia from Accessory Remix spoke about how her lack of funds to start her own jewelry line actually helped her get creative. She would ask for bottle caps and broken jewelry and rework them into beautiful pieces. She is available in 4 boutiques in New York or online. I received these gorgeous earrings in my goodie bag. Unfortunately, I don't have pierced ears so I may have to do a giveaway!

My girl, Shoshi, came up and spoke about her perfume line. She is a luscious lifestyle extraordinaire. She created a perfume line around famous, sexy women such as Mae West and Sofia Vergara. We got to take home "Naughty New York" which was inspired by the Happy Hooker (I don't know that is, so I'll have to look it up!). You can find her perfumes on her website. She is happy to do custom orders.

We also received lipstick from CoverGirl's Queen collection. I received "Girly Pink," which is a bit dark for my pale skin. But a gorgeous color and glides on smoothly.

CND kindly provided not only nail polishes but some of their lotions as well. The Plum Truffle Collection includes Plum Truffle color and Plum Truffle Sparkle Effect. CND has also created a hand and body line, Scentsations. The Vanilla collection includes Vanilla Velvet, Vanilla Cashmere and Velvet Suede. My favorite was Velvet!

Also in the goodie bags were:
  • Squeem Magical Lingerie "Miracle Vest"
  • Hanes Silk Reflections Opaque Tights in Black
  • Zebra ball point pens
  • Goody slide proof headbands
  • Packets of Emergen-C (I haven't seen some of these flavors: Cranberry Pomegranate, Tropical)
  • Also, for the gentlemen out there. If you are looking to get pampered - BBraxton is a male only salon located in Harlem where licensed barbers will cut your hair while you enjoy a complimentary cocktail. (Wish I was allowed to go!)
Last but certainly not least, The Lower East Side Service Center came up and spoke about the wonderful work they do for drug addicts and those living with HIV. They have a great thrift store on West 17th, Angel Street Thrift Shop where you can make donations and all the proceeds go to fun this great organization. Tasty Morsels and Kitty created cookies to raise money for LESC. Please go to and order them and 10% will go to a great cause.

What charity are you donating to this holiday season?
