Review: Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

I've been desperately trying to find a remedy for my dry cuticles. Sally Hansen's cuticle oil pen was a fail. There are good reviews about Burt Bee's cuticle cream out there so I thought I'd give it a try. I picked up Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream 0.6 oz tin can for under $8 at Target.

It claims to be "a soothing blend of natural ingredients to nourish weak nails and soften dry cuticles." I've been using it for a week and not that impressed. It comes in a very thick wax form that is hard to scoop out at first. Once you get it out of the tin and spread it on your nails, it's very grainy. I also was not a fan of the smell. Another failed cuticle treatment... I'm starting to give up hope here people!

Would I buy it again? No.

Do you have any recommendations?

  1. I have the same issues, along with brittle nails that always split. Try using CND solar oil and try not to get your hands wet (use gloves for cleaning and dishes)I pretty much swear by this.

  2. Wah, Blogger ate my comment!

Anyway, I ditto Erin re: Solar Oil, it's awesome.

And I ditto you re: the Burt's Bees cuticle cream. Gritty, PITA tin. I got it free so I am using it, but won't purchase again.

  3. @Erin- Ouch! Thanks for the tip :)

@Allie- Oh no! Thanks for reading :)
