Best & Worst Dressed at the 83rd Academy Awards

Last night was the Oscars with hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway. From all the promos they did, I was actually looking forward to it. However, Mr. Franco showed up completely stoned (I have no proof but it was pretty obvious) so him and Anne didn't have comedic timing. My girl Anne rocked 7 great looks thanks to her stylist, Rachel Zoe. My favorite was this Lanvin suit and Brian Atwood pumps. I decided to break down the best and worst looks by color.

Everyone looked great in red! Best Dressed: Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang. The structure of this dress is spectacular. Sandra looked great, I just wish the hair wasn't so tight.

Jennifer Hudson showed off her body in this tangerine colored Versace dress. I wish she would have kept the boobs more covered up. It's the Oscars, you shouldn't show a lot of cleavage in my opinion.

Jennifer Lawrence looked young and fresh in this Calvin Klein dress. Some complained that it was too plain for the Oscars, and I hear their point, but she's 20 year old. I think she looks age appropriate.

If I had to go with a Worst Dressed it would be Penelope Cruz in L'Wren Scott. Her body looks amazing for just having a kid, but I feel like she needed better support for her fuller chest. Also, I wasn't a fan of the tacky looking material.
Best Dressed: Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Haute Couture. Now some people love this or hate it. I think this is high fashion gone right on the red carpet. Cate can wear anything she's so gorgeous.

Natalie Portman looked gorgeous in Rodarte. This is the best she's looked on the red carpet with her  baby bump I think. Although I wish her hair was so tightly tied to the back, made her look lopsided.

I liked Scarlett Johansson's Dolce & Gabbana lace dress. She wasn't a nominee so she went a little understated. It hugged her body beautifully and she wasn't throwing complete sex at us. It is good to see the ladies cover up (like January Jones) and still look sexy.

I was disappointed by Mila Kunis in Elie Saab. I feel like this dress was like the McQueen one she wore, loose and flowy. I felt like it was too much cleavage for the Oscars.
There wasn't a best dressed for me in this category. I'm glad Helena Bonham Carter showed her support for costume designers in this dress, but I was a little bored. I'm glad she cleaned up though!

Amy Adams was disappointing in L'Wren Scott. Not sure what look she was going for here especially with that necklace! I think we all wanted to rip it off.

Sharon Stone looks great but why the feathered shoulder? She was trying to have a moment but I don't think it worked.

Oh Reese. I think everyone nailed it on the head when they described this Armani look as a Barbie, prom-esque look. I don't want to knock her too hard because the newly engaged star looked so happy, good for her!
Best Dressed: Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein. The dress looked like a dripping silver waterfall. I wish she would have left off the brooch though.

Helen Mirren is stunning in Vivienne Westwood. I want to look as good as her when I'm her age!

Worst Dressed: Hilary Swank in Gucci Haute Couture. Only she could make this feathered and sequin dress look plain.
Best Dressed: Michelle Williams in Chanel. I'm going to classify this dress as white. Although she is covered up, the dress is slightly sheer and hugs her body. We are never going to get an over-the-top look from her.

Melissa Leo in Marc Bouwer. She looks like some kind of paper mache project with white doileys and gold accents.

Worst Dressed: Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior Haute Couture. Glad someone wore Dior! She's been loosing her mind on the red carpet. AHH!

Best Dressed: Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa who helped design her dress. She looks age appropriate and gorgeous. I would have lost the headband though.

I wasn't feeling Halle Berry in Marchesa. Kind of boring for me.

Florence Welch in Valentino was also boring to me. I wish she would turn it up a notch once in awhile, she always wears similar dresses. Love her though!

Worst Dressed: Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier. I felt like the color of the dress washed her out. The makeup and hair are too harsh. If you are going to do harsh hair then do a soft curls not pull it back tight. She did look better on stage in blue while performing her song from "Tangled."

Who were your best and worst dressed of the night?
