What I Did For New Year's Eve

Happy New Year!! Since it was slushy (the two feet of snow is melting) outside in New York, I decided to stay in. Giuseppe came over, we ordered in Thai food and watched the ball drop comfortably from my couch.

Yummy Pad See Ew and Thai iced tea
Around 11 we popped some bubbly... sparkling cider that is. We decided to try this Pomegranate Apple flavor. It had a real strong kick at the end, kind of tangy in my opinion. I really wanted Cran-Apple, which my pregnant sister (hence no alcohol) and I had but we couldn't find it. Oh well.

And what I wore:

I still decided to dress up a little. Remember the look I picked out? This is the more casual version I would say. I wore my Old Navy jeggings, my Target sequin tank from Christmas, and a Banana Republic cardigan. I braided my bangs back on both side and twisted it up into a bun. I'm also wearing a bright fuchsia lip color. I totally forgot to put on any accessories (oops!).

Of course I had to do something with the nails! I wore Sephora by OPI's "Let it Rain, Dear" (such a cute name!) which is a really thick glitter nail polish. Then I wrote 2011 on my thumb. It didn't quite work on my other hand because I'm right handed (so frustrating!) so I drew a party hat. I tried.

What did you do for New Year's eve?

  1. Sounds like a cool, relaxing New Years Eve. Mine was spent at home as well, watching fireworks on TV.

Love the top you're wearing. You can never go wrong with sparkles, and love the nails as well.

    Here's to an amazing 2011.

  2. Did you have a big firework display? There were some in Times Square but I didn't hear them :/ Thanks :)

May you have happy and healthy 2011!

We all have opinions... I want to hear yours!
